Monstera Aurea Marmorata Care Guide
- Light: Provide very bright, indirect light. Ample indirect sunlight is crucial for maintaining and encouraging the stunning yellow and golden variegation. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the delicate variegated sections of the leaves.
- Watering: Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 inches of the soil feel dry to the touch. Ensure your pot has excellent drainage to prevent root rot. Allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings.
- Humidity: This tropical beauty thrives in high humidity (above 60%). We recommend using a humidifier, placing the plant on a pebble tray with water, or grouping it with other plants to create a humid microclimate.
- Soil: Use a well-draining, airy aroid mix. A combination of orchid bark, perlite, coco coir, and a small amount of potting soil is ideal for providing the right balance of moisture retention and aeration.
- Fertilizer: During the growing season (spring and summer), feed your Monstera Aurea every 2-4 weeks with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half-strength. Reduce feeding in the fall and winter.
- Support: As a natural climber, providing a moss pole or trellis will encourage larger leaf development and a more mature growth pattern.
